Idolatry, the inspiration behind the collection
- Religious practice in which An idol is worshiped.
- Excessive love and admiration They feel for one person or one thing.
Idolatry, a name so beautiful and yet so complex. Throughout history we are dotted with examples of idolatry, practically since the human being exists. We are destined to encumbrar everything that fascinates us, seduces us and intrigues us, to such an extent that we are not able to question its own integrity.
From the caveman, through the ancient civilizations to the present day. Who are our idols?
I've been dedicating myself to the world of fashion and art for many years now and I must say that I still love the power they carry these modern idols, even more since the rise of social networks. Idols that they take advantage of a society thirsty for references and that in most cases, their mere encumbramiento is of doubtful origin. But here we are, worshiping these new "gods and goddesses", consuming everything they propose to us and wanting to be and be in the same places as them.
It is for this reason that I wanted to create a bridal collection with a slight criticism of this millennial scenario; the composition reminds us of those statues of a sublime perfection of ancient Greece and Rome, symbolizing the object of worship. The fund chosen is The birth of Venus, of Boticelli, whose meaning is related to the idealization of love. And finally, I wanted to create this “collage” effect in which the false and the real coexist reflecting that in most cases, what we adore is not real.
As for Idolatry designs, They are designed for the most current brides with minimalist, comfortable and elegant designs. Yes, everyone has that touch Lorena Panea which makes each one of them have something that makes them special.
